Mazda brings new technology and style to the 2014 Mazda6. Mazda designed the new Mazda6 from the Ground up to incorporate the Skyactiv suite of technologies. This car's bold new look combined with powerful fuel saving technology will launch Mazda well ahead of its competitors at your local Denver Colorado Mazda dealer.

The motor behind the 2014 Mazda6 will mirror the 2.0-liter engine currently available in the 2012 Mazda3 and 2013 Mazda CX-5* which produces 148 hp and 155 lb-ft of torque. This motor can be mated either to a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission for plenty of that must-drive Mazda fun. Early fuel estimations show that Mazda is pushing for the 39 to 40 mpg combined** that the SkyActiv power-plant became famous for. The optional larger 2.5-liter engine will produce 189 hp and 189 lb-ft and will be available with the automatic transmission. Estimates on the 2.5-liter motor are rated at a combined fuel economy of 37 mpg.** To further increase fuel economy, both engines can be fitted with i-stop: which is Mazda's stop-start system that can restart the engine in as little as 0.35 second after the car has been idling. The 2.5-liter engine also offers the new technology i-ELOOP. This is a system that recharges a capacitor when the car decelerates, powering accessories to reduce strain on the power-train. This fuel savings vehicle aims to give the driver more time behind the wheel enjoying the scenery near the Centennial Mazda dealer and less at the pump - all without using an electric motor and over-sized battery.

The all new 2014 Mazda6 follows Mazda's new Kodo design philosophy which incorporates: semi-circle front grille, angled headlights with chrome eyebrows, and angular lower fascia. Mazda is giving the headlights its first-ever LEDs halo ring illumination which gives the 2014 Mazda6 a powerful front end look. The roof line and rear glass slope gently to the rear trunk which gets an integrated spoiler. Narrow taillights wrap onto each fender and a silver chrome strip connects the lights above the license-plate indentation. Many of these design styles are currently being employed in the 2013 Mazda CX-5 which is available to drive with one of our Groove Mazda associates.

Mazda has announced that it has received special approval to display the 2014 Mazda 6 - starting at your local Mazda dealership on or before December 24th (see update below). This will be strictly a "display only" model, which means it is a full production vehicle but cannot be driven because the EPA is still testing and evaluating the ratings on the Mazda6's SKYACTIV motor and drive train.
